Hi, I’m Leighton Parker! My heart has always been drawn to walking alongside children and adolescents as they navigate life’s challenges. I believe that play and creativity can open doors to healing, and I honor the therapeutic relationship as one of the most important parts of the journey—because feeling seen, heard, and valued makes all the difference.

Leighton Parker,

m.a., LPC.

I first studied Advertising at the University of Georgia, but over time, I felt a deep calling to support others in a different way. That calling led me to earn my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from LaGrange College. Before stepping into counseling, I served as the Director of Student Ministries at FPC LaGrange, where I loved building relationships with young people and walking beside them in faith and life. That experience shaped the passion I now carry into the therapy room. I feel especially called to work with children and teens, helping them discover their voices, build resilience, and find hope even in difficult circumstances.

Much of my work also centers around trauma, where I seek to provide a gentle, supportive space for clients to process their experiences and begin their healing journey at their own pace. I draw from a person-centered approach inspired by Carl Rogers, always meeting clients with unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity. Alongside this foundation, I weave in evidence-based Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, play, and creative expression to support children, teens, and families in ways that feel both safe and empowering. My hope is to create a space where clients can heal, grow, and discover their strengths.
