Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy treatment designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic and disturbing memories. It is a distinct approach which uses bilateral stimulation to aid in the integration (processing) of distressing information.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are constantly interacting and influencing one another. How we interpret or think about a situation determines how we feel about it, which then determines how we will react.
CPP is an intervention for children (aged 0-5) who have experienced a traumatic event and/or are experiencing mental health, attachment, and/or behavioral problems, including post traumatic stress disorder. The sessions incorporate both the child and parent or primary caregiver.
We believe everyone has the innate capacity to change and heal as the mind, body, and spirit are equally important in the cultivation of well-being. Our therapist seek to address the root of a difficulty, not just the symptom.
